Can Anyone Make Sense of Why the Cost of Goods and Services are Continually Going Up?

"If Americans ever allow banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children will wake up homeless." -- Thomas Jefferson

Why do prices go up? Why is a 2000 sq ft home in 1919 and 2007 not the same price? One would think that with the advances in technology that a 2007 home would be cheaper and assembled much quicker. This is true but has nothing to do with inflation. A gallon of milk in 1919 and a gallon of milk in 2007 are both a gallon of milk. But today’s price (about $3.00 per gallon) is over a 1000% increase from 1919 prices (approximately .25¢), according to an inflation calculator. Why was a $20 gold piece and a $20 bill an equal exchange in 1919? Why is that same coin, in 2007, worth around $800? Does it have to do with the answers we’re getting from the mainstream media? Is it because Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden are on the prowl and going to get us at any minute? Is it because of some fake news or phony terror alert that the government and the news are reporting? Illegal immigration? The mortgage debacle? The war and regional instability? Britney Spears? The democrats social programs or the republicans tax breaks for the wealthy? Certainly our elected officials and beloved newscasters wouldn’t steer us wrong. Well folks, these ridiculous excuses are analogous to them having you watch their left hand wave at you, while they sucker punch you with the right fist. I am a good messenger, so along with my good news I must give you some bad news, to boot. The bad news is that if you have been listening to Katie Couric, Suze Orman, the Faux (Fox) News Network, or most of the mainstream media for that matter for your steady diet of current events and analysis, then please know that the information that you receive is about as reliable as a broken tooth. But the good news is that your humble friend BG will help you use the good sense that God gave each one of us to figure out what’s really going on.

The mainstream media has an agenda to report the news in such a way in order to get a controlled response. They study you and they know that most people are very passive and respond like sheep to instruction and information. They know that people either don’t care about what’s going on, ignore what’s going on, or they obey and do what is suggested on television by the fancy guy or gal with the nice smile and slick outfit.

Economics 101

You’re not going to believe how simple this is. When you finish reading and understanding this article, you should turn off your television and be upset that those silly politicians that convinced you to vote for them. Then you should be even more upset because of the lies that your school told you about real economics, and you should also be displeased with the minions on the news broadcasts who pulled a 365 day a year April Fool’s Day joke on you about economics. Oh well, at least you want to get informed or else you wouldn’t be reading this far. Let’s use a natural illustration to explain the money/pricing situation.

In your country, gold and silver are the valuable commodity of choice. Everyone recognizes it as a valuable medium of exchange but it’s too heavy and inconvenient to carry around. So in order to do commerce, it is agreed that paper bills will represent the proportionate amount of gold and silver in store. It is agreed that the gold and silver will be represented by twenty $1 bills. These 20 bills represent the entire wealth of the nation (the gold and silver in store). Commerce is conducted and everything is fine.

One day, some people in the community decide to create some duplicates of the paper bills and use them to do commerce, as well. The problem is that they didn’t add anymore gold or silver to the store. Remember, the bills represent the value of the commodity (gold and silver) in store. They added 20 new $1 bills and commerce continues as usual. What, in actuality, has happened to the economy? Where there were 20 bills, there are now 40 bills, and this means that the wealth of the nation has spread equally from the 20 bills to the 40 bills. The currency has been devalued (weakened) or each dollar is made to be worth less. To further illustrate the point, if you have a full glass of milk, you pour out half of it and replace the poured out milk with water, you have in essence weakened the integrity of the milk. When more dollars are added to the economy without a commodity to represent those new dollars, it weakens the other dollars. The 40 bills (20 original and 20 added by counterfeiting) may have $1 printed on them, but they are actually worth .50 cents now, instead of one dollar. By doubling the quantity of paper bills, the 40 bills equal the entire wealth of the nation, whereas before it was only 20 bills. Keep the milk illustration in mind. Understand? Remember, the dollars represent the available commodity (gold and silver) in store. Another example: What if you only had enough food prepared to feed 10 people, and then 10 more people came over? The 10 new people didn’t bring any food to cook; they just wanted to eat your prepared food. That means that if everyone is going to eat, then everyone is going to get ½ a serving when they originally expected to get 1 full serving. Understand? The point is that you get less quality when you add more quantity. More dollars, less value; more water, weak milk; more people, everyone gets less food.

Today’s Economics

If you need to re-read the above-mentioned illustrations again, please do so. But let’s move on to a topic with which we are all familiar: gas prices. Are gas prices high because of the war? Well, did peace make the value of the dollar go down in the above-mentioned illustration? No. The answer is simple. Let’s just follow the principle that dollars are supposed to represent a fixed amount of wealth. Today, big businesses watch M3, the money supply data. What is M3? The Federal Reserve tracks and publishes the money supply measured three different ways-- M1, M2, and M3.

These three money supply measures track slightly different views of the money supply.

The most restrictive, M1, only measures the most liquid forms of money; it is limited to currency actually in the hands of the public. This includes traveler’s checks, demand deposits (checking accounts), and other deposits against which checks can be written.

M2 includes all of M1, plus savings accounts, time deposits of under $100,000, and balances in retail money market mutual funds.

But that is all small potatoes, M3 includes all of M2 (which includes M1) plus large-denomination ($100,000 or more) time deposits, balances in institutional money funds, repurchase liabilities issued by depository institutions, and Eurodollars held by U.S. residents at foreign branches of U.S. banks and at all banks in the United Kingdom and Canada."

In other words, M3 tracks what the big boys are doing with the money. This includes US dollars held in banks in Canada and the UK (called Eurodollars) not to be confused with the Euro which is the standard currency of Europe.

I am going to keep this simple and short because in order to understand the bigger picture, you have to understand central banking, fiat money (which is as valuable as the confidence people have in it), the Bretton Woods Agreement, supply and demand, and the US Constitution for starters. The politicians, bankers and the mainstream media are all complicit in running a game on our economy and our standard of living, at our and our children’s expense. I am totally convinced that the national, insider politicians are very much aware of the real reason why things are the way they are. So don’t be a sheep and follow the news babble. Many people, Christians especially, get suckered into that sheep mentality because Jesus refers to His followers as sheep. But Jesus is a good and faithful shepherd who is worthy to have us follow Him in blind obedience. No one else deserves that type of honor, so WAKE UP!

OK, so big business pays attention to the money supply, and they know that if too much money is in supply that the value of each of the dollars is going to be worth less. So in order to keep up with inflation or a devalued currency, the seller has to require more dollars (increase prices) to offset his/her losses against the devalued currency. In other words, the seller will require more of that watered down milk. Understand? So if the seller requires more money, then you might have to go get another job in order to keep up with price increases or get a cheaper version of what you want to buy. In short, gas is high because the money supply is out of control and prices are going higher. As I am writing this article, oil is around $93 per barrel, but click the link below and look at this latest news headline:

CFR President: $200 Oil If War With Iran

Folks, what did we learn about higher prices? Now, fiat money is valued by the people’s confidence in it, but quite simply, wars don’t weaken your dollars purchasing power, but counterfeiting (adding more dollars to the economy without more assets) does. Again, supply and demand is also a factor in pricing, but this is not a full-fledged economics lesson. This is a short lesson to help you sift through this maze called our economic system. Please take advantage of the reading list below, it is very informative and worth your time.

Understanding the Times in Which We Live

1 Chronicles 12:32 “And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do;”

We are living in a time unlike any other that has ever existed. Today, ancient prophecies are unfolding, people are looking for answers to some of life’s most puzzling concerns and most of the Church is still asleep. I hear people saying that some of “the Church is so Heavenly-minded that they are no earthly good.” This is unfortunate and I hate to agree with this statement, but it does carry some validity. Many of the people they are referencing are good hearted, born-again Christians; yet they have no circle of influence, no appeal, no practical and/or real-life application of the Word of God in their personal lives, and no drive to be more than status-quo believers waiting for the sweet bye and bye (Heaven). They have a form of Godliness, but deny the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:5). We all know people like this, reminiscent of an Aunt Esther from Sanford and Son, known for nothing but going to church, doing good deeds and being religious. Now ask yourself, who would want to be like Aunt Esther? Answer: no one should. It’s sad that God has given His people all things pertaining to life and Godliness (2 Peter 1:3), yet the Church is a laughingstock in the earth. God has made us the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-14). We have been made the pillar and ground of the truth (1 Timothy 3:15), but many times we are the most uninformed on many of today’s most important topics, such as: politics, current events and financial matters. The secular world doesn’t come to the Church for answers; unfortunately, many in the Church go to the secular world for answers. That’s backwards! As I write this article, I recently saw an advertisement for the new Simpson’s movie. In the trailer, Springfield (the Simpson’s town) was going to be destroyed by some sort of apocalyptic crisis. The father (Homer) was reading the Bible and was getting worried and said that there were no answers in it. Although it was a cartoon, it is a testament to the attitude that the secular world has about Christians and the Bible. It’s a pitiful witness, and that’s why we must understand the times and the world in which we live (as Christians, individuals, business owners, parents, teachers, community leaders), in order to be effective in decision making and providing direction for the ones we influence.

In the earlier years of this country, being a Christian was a societal litmus test for honor, respect and integrity; but today, it is shunned and despised among many. The true preachers were the conscious of the nation. They spoke out against injustices and the Governmental leaders acted accordingly to the outcry of the pulpit. The Old Testament (OT) prophets and early New Testament (NT) Church leaders were counsel to Government leaders; God’s people were the elders of the gate (the seat of authority in the community). A once respected people are now a disrespected, uninformed group of followers rather than leaders. God has made us the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13); we should be on the offensive, being leaders, pioneers and trailblazers; but now, the Church is seemingly on the defensive, waiting for God to change things and rescue us. What the Church doesn’t realize is that we (the Church) have let things get to this point in this country where God and His way of doing things is the exception, and not the standard. I believe that God is a deliverer and can use us to change things, Jesus’ name means Jehovah is salvation (deliverance). But we must walk in the authority that God has given us, stop compromising, stop being ignorant of the natural world in which we live, and move forward. We have to use what God has given us (naturally), God will do his part (supernaturally), and fill in the areas that we CANNOT supply. A lot of Christians make the mistake of just taking care of their spiritual obligations, such as: praying, fasting, believing, confessing, etc. This is good, but it’s not good enough. If you worked at the right job, you could make all of the money you needed without praying, giving, etc. (i.e., entertainers are multi-millionaires and many of them don’t claim Jesus). Remember this, God works through the natural realm. For example, when the Red Sea was parted, Moses stretched his hand out and then God caused a strong east wind to come and part the waters (Exodus 14:21). God uses natural things in the earth to bless us. God doesn’t drop money out of the sky. He blesses us through people and opportunities. Where are the opportunities around you? There is no pie in the sky. Understand how life and the world’s systems work. It is a cop out to say believe God, be a giver, and have faith in God. Yes we should do these things, but we must not neglect out natural obligations either. Do what you can in the natural, give God something to bless. Understanding the times in which we live is part and parcel to living a successful life on this earth.

Financial

We must understand how money works. We all have it and need it, so we should understand the mechanics of how business and economics works to some degree. Now this isn’t to say that you need to get a college education in finance, but a few solid books and some God-given common sense will give you the information that you need to understand what’s going on around you. Too often, unfortunately, the majority of the financial advice we hear from Christians and the pulpits is: tithe, be a giver and trust God. I think that is such a cop out. Do you know why I say that? Because there are many secular people who don’t care anything about Jesus and they have more money then they can spend. Money is a reward for your labor, creativity and expertise. Remember that! You don’t have to be a Christian to be prosperous; you just have to understand how to play the money game. If you understand the game and follow the rules, then you win. If you don’t understand the game and you don’t follow the rules, then you’ll just walk around defeated, always believing that God will deliver you from the natural world, that you can do yourself with a little education and application. In Luke 16:8 Jesus said “for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” [Author’s note: Just because you become a Christian doesn’t mean that you are to give up your common sense. God gave us brains with which to think. You don’t have to fast and pray about everything. For example, if you are tired, go to bed. There’s no need in pretending to be super-spiritual and praying all hours of the night when your body is naturally tired. Stop being religious! If God truly needs for you to stay up all night, He will anoint you for the task and it won’t be grievous (1 John 5:3). There’s a difference between being “religious” and having a genuine and personal relationship with God. Remember that!]

Here are a few examples of understanding the world’s financial system: the Stock Market and the banking industry. Many people don’t realize that the rich (corporate owners) offer employees and regular wage earners the opportunity to purchase shares of company stock, 401K’s, pension funds, etc. In exchange for this investment, the corporations take the worker’s cash contributions and reinvest this money in more aggressive and profitable investment opportunities. [Author’s note: Did you realize that banks and many wealthy people take advantage of the overnight interest rate? When you hear about the Federal Reserve raising or lowering the interest rates, they are actually talking about the overnight interest rate (an investment opportunity to which most people are not privy). If you were able to open one of these overnight/overseas/offshore accounts with $100,000.00 for a month, after 30 days you would have your principal returned to you, plus the +/- 5% daily compounding interest that goes with it. (Put $100,000.00 in your calculator and multiply it times 1.05 or 5% and hit the equal sign 30 times, meaning 30 days or a month. It totals over $425,000.00) If you ask your local banker about this, he/she will look at you like you have five heads. They will tell you all the reasons in the world not to be bothered with this type of investment (because they don’t know about it). “They’ll also say that if it was that easy, then everybody would be doing it;” “it’s too good to be true;” “the banks would never be able to get away with that.” Yet they are getting away with it everyday, at your expense. Banks and investment vehicles are only concerned with getting your money locked up for as long as they can, so that they can get the interest and credit for the highest account balance possible. That’s why they penalize you if you withdrawal your money before the term, because they anticipated on flipping your money around a few more times. So they make the difference of what they are losing by not using your money with a penalty. Another question: if you want to cash out your sizeable 401K, how long does it take for you to receive the check? Weeks or months? Theoretically, they can cut the check the same day. They call it processing time, but I call it getting that last little bit of interest off of your hard-earned money. It’s just like 3 to 5 business days for a check to clear. It’s a scam, folks! I know too many so-called “professionals” in real estate, banking, etc. who know less about their field than me. I teach some people about their own field. It’s sad! They are the professionals telling me their scripted answer about an issue, and then I end up correcting them and explaining “the game” to them. OK, I apologize for digressing, but you folks know how much of a passion this stuff is for me.]

What do you think that the insurance companies do with our monthly premiums for car, health and homeowners insurance? They take our money and invest it and reinvest it in the stock and currency market, that’s were it ultimately ends up. They use our money, and make a lot more. Then they reward the people’s portfolios with a 10%-25% per annum return. Sounds great, huh? They make more than that in one day with our money. Through Government compulsion (laws) we must maintain uninterrupted insurance on our cars/homes. But if there is no accident during the claim period, do you get a refund? No! Some companies throw you a bone, but ask them how much money they made off of our premiums for the year; and no claim was made against it. Do you understand that? It’s all a scam, big business and Governments work together, and it’s never for the benefit of the working class people. Remember that! If you don’t understand what I mean, you’ll see in the next example.

Homeowners get sizeable tax returns if they itemize and claim their mortgage interest when they file their taxes. Question: what does a private bank mortgage loan have to do with the Federal government giving you several thousands of dollars back at tax time? Think about it: the Federal Government and a private bank. It’s all a scam. These banks work with the Government to loan money. The banks create zeroes and ones as computer entries, and that’s your loan. It’s a loan created out of thin air. If you or I did that, we’d be busted for fraud. They then created a formula called amortization with is another scam that ends up being roughly 2-3 times the initial loan amount at maturity (360 months or 30 years). Now, here is the scam. If the bank created your loan as number computer entries, and not actual dollars transferring from bank to bank, then how much is this loan costing the bank and how much is it costing you? Let me say it another way. If you ask me to loan you ten dollars, I reach into my pocket and physically give you $10. Then you eventually repay me $10. But if I loaned you money as the banks do it, I’d go to my computer open up an account for you in my system and approve a $10 credit for you. No physical money moved from one place to another, it just appeared on my computer screen because I put it there. You get scammed because not only do you have to pay this fraudulent loan off 2 or 3 times via amortization, but you have to battle with adjustable interest rates, an unlikely possibility of the bank calling your loan in, and being under a task master working off a 30 year mortgage (derived from a French word which means a death pledge). It’s a great scam for the banks and the Government because the banks lend more money, which means that they can expect monthly income from the homeowners paying on those mortgage notes. Banks then pass these liabilities onto the equities markets, which in turn are packaged as derivatives (combination of many high risk investments). The homeowner is generally happy in all of this because at tax time they can expect several thousands of dollars to be returned to him/her. It’s a nice cushion for him/her to use throughout the year, and the scam continues year after year. Question: If you get a $10,000.00 from the Federal Government, how much do you think that they made off of you in order to give you $10,000.00? They can’t give you what they don’t have and they aren’t going to give you what you gave them. Understand? How many thousands of percent are the banks making off of your bank loans if the money is created on a computer screen (just like credit cards)? Answer: they are making the amount of money you are paying them in percents. In other words, if I have nothing and you give me $100.00, that’s not a 100% increase. If I had $100.00 and made another $100.00 from my initial $100.00, that’s a 100% return (double your investment). But the banks put up $0 and they are accumulating large sums of money at the maturity of the note. How do you quantify $300,000.00 from $0 in terms of percentage earned? It’s astronomical! Do you understand that? Folks, I’m not saying that it’s bad to own a home, but I’m just letting you that we must be cognizant of the system and the rules associated with the system of which we are apart. Like I said earlier, if you understand the game and follow the rules, then you win. If you don’t understand the game and don’t follow the rules, then you’ll just walk around defeated, always believing that God will deliver you from the natural world, that you can do yourself with a little education and application. Knowing the game and the rules will allow you to navigate into other areas and possibly allow you to take advantage of uncommon situations. Pay attention to the rules, it’s not hard to understand, but you must fashion your mind to think another way sometimes.

Government, the Prophetic and Technology

I’ll continue this article at another time and address these issues. This article became longer than I thought. There’s so much more to write. There’s so much and I can’t expound upon everything like I desire, because of space constraints. But these articles will be made into chapters and sections in my upcoming book. I’m really excited about it, and I hope that you are enjoying the information. As far as this section concerning Government, the Prophetic and Technology goes, don’t worry and don’t be afraid, the big bad anti-Christ isn’t going to come and put a bar-coded microchip on your hand or forehead. Don’t let the “Left Behind” movies scare you. There is some strange technology that the government and others will be using in the future, but it’s only detrimental to you if you are uninformed. This entire system that they are concocting of control grid, surveillance, and big brother of 1984 (the book and movie) proportions is going to ultimately fail. Lack of sound information always breeds ignorance. Always go back to the Source. The Word of God is the Source. So anchor yourself in it and find out what it says before you run off on either side of the road. Let the Word of God balance you and keep you in focus. Remember that! Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy (Revelation 1:3). See, you’re blessed by the words of the prophetic, not doomed. [Author’s note: I want to stress the main focus of this website: to cause you to think about pertinent issues that affect your daily life. That is why I don’t address irrelevant stories about Paris Hilton’s jail term, Dan Rather’s comments about Katie Couric being an agent to dumb-down the CBS viewers, the recent memorial celebration for Princess Diana or Barry Bond’s being elected as the oldest starter in an MLB All-Star game. These stories won’t help your life, these are filler stories to keep you occupied and distracted from real news. Look at real issues and ask questions. You have the capacity to analyze and think critically. You will also be surprised at how much more intelligent you are in comparison to some of the people we admire on television. Most of them aren’t the brightest bulbs in the box.] Live well!

Financial Insight for Today

These are some financial tips that can help take you to the next level in your financial thinking. You can only go in the direction your mind is taking you.

  • In any economy: Investors (5% of the economy) control and finance industries. They make the most money and do the least physical wok of these three groups. Managers (15% of the population) run companies and manage people. Employees (80% of the population) do all of the work and make the least amount of money of these three groups.
  • Beware of the financial and prosperity books on the market. Some of them have a lot of good info in them, but a lot of them are overlaps of other books, or only tell you half of the reality of economics. A lot of times the authors are exactly that-they are authors, not investors.
  • The very wealthy don’t divulge much information, and they save the most lucrative investments for themselves. But the information is available, keep looking.
  • Don’t believe the lie that it “sounds too good to be true” and “if it was that easy everyone would be doing it.” Sometimes that is the case, but sometimes it isn’t.
  • The very wealthy don’t divulge their actual worth, nor are they in the Forbe’s listings. Bill Gates is very wealthy, but he’s not “top shelf” in the grand scheme of things, in the world of finance. There are banking family dynasties that have been controlling industries for over 100 years. Some estimates state that their assets are valued in the trillions.
  • Don’t just learn what the wealthy want you to know; learn what the wealthy know and how they do it, then do it.
  • Have dreams and goals bigger than what you can do on your own.
  • Remember to keep up with the times and the markets. Understand that money is the life blood of every sector of the economy. Learn how money works.
  • In the 21st century, just being a good employee isn’t good enough. Low paying and mid range jobs are being outsourced every year. Learn how to make your money work harder than you do.
  • The Stock, Securities and Equities Markets are funded by average wage earners. The wealthy corporations, hedge funds and 401K’s use this money to earn interest, while the average wage earners get paltry returns. What would happen if you took your own money and did what they know to do?
  • If your investment (401K, pension, etc.) makes 25% in a year, what do you think the fund made? They can’t pay you what they don’t have. They probably made more than a 100%.
  • Without workers the entire economic system fails.
  • Brokers don’t care if you make money. They get commissions for executing trades, not building your portfolio. If your investment loses money, they still get paid.
  • Real Estate is net worth; Trading currencies, stocks and securities is liquid. You can’t spend a net worth, you can only borrow against it or liquidate your assets to spend the cash. Don’t get caught up in credit and net worth. Cash always spends. If you have cash, cash is king.
  • Compounding Interest is how the very wealthy get wealthier. Working hard might build character, but it burns you out, in comparison.
  • Don’t co-sign for people, unless you’re willing to assume their liability.
  • Beware of salespeople. A lot of them are just looking for commissions, and don’t care about you and your situation.
  • Beware of marketing stunts. A lot of the construction material suppliers are hiring beautiful women to market to a male-dominated industry.
  • A $100,000.00 amortized 30 year mortgage at 5% will cost you approximately 2-1/2 to 3 times the initial loan amount when you pay the 360th payment.
  • Don’t listen to mainstream financial gurus. They give you mainstream perspective, and that information is not what the wealthy use.
  • Follow the examples, principles or the insights of prominent investors and analysts. The book, Market Wizards by Jack Schwager, lists many of them. They turned small amounts of money, relatively speaking, into massive portfolios. These people can make money during good and bad times. Doom and gloom analysts are amateurs.
  • If everyone made the proper financial decisions, then the markets couldn’t work. Remember that the markets are a zero-sum game, i.e., someone wins while the other person loses. You might as well win.
  • Be professional in your financial dealings. You will be surprised at how well some people will receive you if you can act the part.
  • Don’t give your business to or do business with unprofessional people.
  • Most times, real money people only see green. Racism and discrimination do exist, but if you can show the money people that you can bring value to their bottom line, they’d be a fool to not consider you and/or your idea.
  • Build up your financial vocabulary and buy a financial dictionary.
  • Don’t flaunt any successes you have. Your results will speak for themselves.
  • Don’t give advice to people who don’t want it. Some people are comfortable where they are. You can warn someone, or ask them if they have heard about what you know, but don’t pressure them or appear to be a know-it-all. Give your advice to people who pursue your insight.
  • Hang out where the wealthy hang out, if you can. They might frequent a golf club, a restaurant, a social lounge, etc. You never know what information you may get.

You won’t be status quo following this information. Live well and be prosperous!

Counterfeiting for You; Moneymaking Venture for Them

This story begins with a couple: Sam and Mary. They’re a nice couple, with a relatively comfortable life, and a nice business. They probably do a few things differently than the average person, but all-in-all they are good, hardworking people. They don’t pay bills like you or me, every so often they get extended a line of credit by an unknown creditor and they pay him/her back plus interest. Now their costs have gone up because not only do they have to pay the principle, but now they have an interest payment, to boot. But it doesn’t matter to Sam and Mary, because they will put the burden on the workers to work harder and sell more products and services to cover this interest payment. Sam and Mary have the money in the bank. So why are they subjecting themselves, the workers and their business to an extra payment and extra hours of unnecessary hard work? Oh I forgot to tell you, the creditors are Sam and Mary’s secret friends and they just wanted to help their friends along in business, besides it isn’t costing them anything. The workers are working harder; Sam and Mary’s bottom line isn’t affected. Bad business practice you might be thinking? Well this is actually an allegorical account of a real-life situation. Sam and Mary are actually the United States Government, the creditors are the owners of the Federal Reserve Bank, and the workers are the average working citizen. This is America post-1913, when the Federal Reserve Act was passed by the Congress and signed by Former U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, who later wrote concerning the signing of the Act: “I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country.”

So the Government counterfeits money? No! The Federal Reserve does. Folks, the Federal Reserve is no more federal than Federal Express; the name was given to confuse you. But it is a private bank, and the United States is indebted to them for TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS of dollars. Who has that kind of money? They hope that the average citizen does and the “sleight-of-hand” will continue as long as the money keeps flowing into the Government through the various taxes we pay. However, the U.S. Constitution - Article 1 Section 8 states “The Congress shall have Power To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures; to provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States.” Article 1 - The Legislative Branch Section 10 - Powers Prohibited of States says “No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts.”

So if only the Congress has the legal authority to coin gold and silver money, and regulate it, then why is the Federal Reserve printing paper notes to use as money, and charging the US taxpayer interest? Well that’s a great question, and I’ll let the quotes of some very powerful men of the past answer that.

  • “Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes her laws.” Mayer Amschel Rothschild, Unofficial father of Central Banking
  • "All that it takes for the triumph of evil is that good men and women do nothing." Edmund Burke, Eighteenth century statesman and author
  • “I place economy among the first and most important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.” “If the people ever allow the banks to issue their currency, then by inflation and deflation, the banks and [bank-owned] corporations which will grow up around them, will deprive them of all property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers established.” “"The system of banking is a blot left in all our Constitutions, which, if not covered, will end in their destruction. I sincerely believe that banking institutions are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity is but swindling futurity on a large scale. “The end of democracy and the defeat of the American Revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of the lending institutions and moneyed incorporations.” Former U.S. President Thomas Jefferson
  • Former U.S. President Andrew Jackson told the bankers, "You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out. And by eternal God, I will rout you out."
  • "The Government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credits needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government and the buying power of consumers. By the adoption of these principles, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master and become the servant of humanity." Former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln
  • “The Federal Reserve Act should be repealed; and the Federal Reserve Banks — having violated their charters — should be liquidated immediately. Faithless government officers who have violated their oaths of office should be impeached and brought to trial.” Former U.S. Congressman Louis T. McFadden
  • “Banking was conceived in iniquity and born in sin. If you want to continue to be slaves of the bankers and pay the cost of your slavery, then let the bankers continue to create money and control credit.” Sir Josiah Stamp, Former President of the Bank of England

It’s all about power (in their hands), control (over you and your family), and your money (in their pocket). We all need to think about the contents of this article. It was short but power-packed full of historical content. The life of any economy is its money, and if you let private interests control that, then you end up with chaos and the destruction of that economy. You may not think much about it today, but this system is not working for our benefit. We will pick this topic again in a future article. Re-read this information again and understand that this is very serious, even though they aren’t talking about it on the nightly news. Stay tuned!
